TASHKENT, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan will establish a state fund for the development of youth entrepreneurship, local media reported on Tuesday, citing the country's Ministry of Justice.
According to report, the decision to create the fund is outlined in a presidential decree in February aimed at enhancing support for youth business initiatives and employment.
It was noted that the fund will be provided with financial resources equivalent to 100 million U.S. dollars. It is expected that the fund will help engage at least 50,000 young people in entrepreneurship.
According to the press service of the Uzbek President, Uzbekistan will create 5.2 million jobs and lift 1.5 million people out of poverty in 2025, amid a series of economic goals. ■
