ACCRA, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Ghana has been drawn against defending champions Cameroon, Benin and Guinea Bissau in Group F of the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.
The 2019 AFCON draw was held behind the famous Giza Pyramids in Egypt Friday night.
The Black Stars, four-time champions, will open this year's campaign against Benin on June 25 before taking on Cameroon on June 29 and Guinea Bissau on July 2 at the Suez stadium.
Ghana and the three other Group F teams will be based in Ismailia.
The Black Stars will be seeking to annex the AFCON trophy for the first time since 1982.
The 2019 AFCON, with its new 24-team format, will be held from June 15 to July 13.
